About the event

Welcome to the 2025 Irish Topper Championships hosted by Lough Erne Yacht Club.

LEYC looks forward to welcoming the Topper fleet in July 2025 for 3 days of racing in the picturesque waters of Lower Lough Erne.

Entry Information

The Irish Championships are part of the Topper Ireland official event calendar. All entrants must be members of the Topper Ireland class association or equivalent Topper class association. Please visit https://www.topperireland.com/membership/

Entries for this event will close at 5pm on Tuesday 1st July. Please note there is a 60 boat limit on entries; this may be increased at the discretion of the organising authority.

Please note championship numbers are not required for this event.

Please ensure all trolly tags are removed prior to the event; new ones will be issued at registration.

Arrival

For boats arriving before 17.00 on Thursday 3rd July, please let us know in advance so we so we can ensure you have access to the club.

Please refer to site layout plan for information on where to park trailers etc.

Program & Catering

Tea & coffee will be available each morning in the clubhouse.

BBQs will be lit on Friday from around 6pm. Please feel free to bring your own food and use this facility. For those who would rather let someone else do the cooking we have arranged for a mobile catering van to be on site on Friday evening. They will be serving fish & chips, burgers, chicken and sausages.

There will be a Championship dinner on Saturday 5th July at 7pm.

Topper Nationals 2025 Saturday Dinner | Lougherneyc

Lasagne or chicken curry served with chips / rice, garlic bread & coleslaw. Vegetarian and gluten free options available, please let us know if required.

There will be a daily prize-giving on Friday 4th & Saturday 5th July where ‘spot prizes’ will be awarded. In order to be eligible to win a prize you must be present. Please keep an eye on the event whats-app group for timings.

Club bar open Thurs evening and from mid afternoon Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Brian Spence Sailing will be on site Friday, Saturday and on Sunday morning. He will be available for boat repairs and kit. For any pre-orders please contact him on 0044 7710363444.

A raffle for a new sail will take place at the final prize-giving on Sunday. Tickets for this will be on sale throughout the event. All proceeds from this raffle will go towards the fundraiser for the Topper Ireland team travelling to the World Championships.

Local Info

We recommend Castle Archdale service station & Spar in Lisnarick for any needs. This is an incredibly well stocked shop with off licence and ATM. There is also a garage and a hot food outlet here. Turn left out of the club lane and continue approx 4 miles.

The nearest village with a butcher & small supermarket is Irvinestown, 6 miles away. Turn left out of the club lane, then right after approximately 2 miles.

The nearest town with large supermarkets etc is Enniskillen, 7 miles away. Turn right out of the club lane.

The nearest hospital is SWAH, turn right out of the club lane. 5 miles away.
